Accounting Operations – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage the entire monthly billing cycle for partners, which includes gathering partner-specific inputs, generating reports using existing tools, and overseeing internal review and approval until completion.

• Handle all partner-facing communications, which involves reviewing and sending billing emails and addressing partner inquiries directly.

• Assess and investigate data discrepancies, resolving those you can independently while documenting and escalating pipeline issues as necessary.

• Generate, issue, and monitor partner invoices in NetSuite, ensuring POs are matched to invoices, and confirming that remittances are received and properly applied.

• Facilitate vendor and customer setup for new partner onboarding, which includes collecting necessary documentation, tax forms, and banking information.

• Assist with month-end closing activities through account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.

• Maintain process documentation and provide assistance with external audit requests as required.

• Undertake ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as they arise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, with a proven ability to manage recurring cycles independently.

• Practical experience with NetSuite AR and billing processes.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle a deadline-driven monthly cycle without daily supervision.

• Strong written communication skills, as you will be a primary point of contact for external partners.

• A systematic approach to reconciliation, with comfort in resolving discrepancies across various data sources.

• Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery to explore data inquiries before escalating issues (preferred).

• Experience working in a high-growth technology, marketplace, or travel company (preferred).

• Knowledge of revenue share, commission, or variable partner billing structures (preferred).
