
Senior Accountant – Corporate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the accounting functions for the Corporate entity within the Stagwell network.
• Execute management reporting tasks for clients.
• Deliver monthly financial analysis of results to leaders of Shared Services functions.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Prepare and record journal entries along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts effectively.
• Create balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS, as required.
• Oversee accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other areas of corporate accounting.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, providing supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
• Analyze financial outcomes and clarify significant variances.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other business units.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
• Engage in ERP implementations, system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives as required.
• Preferred experience with major ERP and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, NetSuite, or Maconomy.
• Background in corporate accounting.
• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Basic understanding of the technical aspects of account analysis and financial statements.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and conduct general ledger analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Basic proficiency in Excel, including functions like SUMIF, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
• Capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Highly organized, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
