Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report to the Director of Accounting

• Manage month-end closing activities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations

• Execute month-end close in adherence to established processes and timelines

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, Unbilled Revenue, and Deferred Revenue

• Support the Director of Accounting with monthly tasks and projects

• Utilize a conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS in accounting functions

• Aid in the preparation and testing for financial audits

• Ensure adequate internal controls over financial processes

• Complete ad hoc projects as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting

• An active CPA license is mandatory

• Over 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a multi-company setting

• Familiarity with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts and revenue recognition principles

• Relevant accounting experience in technology-driven sectors, including Software, IT, SaaS, or Shared Services

• Strong accounting and analytical capabilities

• Capacity to quickly grasp job responsibilities and assume additional tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Workday experience is preferred

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced technology environment

• Self-motivated individual who can learn new accounting systems with minimal supervision

• Working knowledge of the month-end close process

• Practical understanding of profit margins and COGS analysis

• Comprehension of US GAAP and IFRS
