Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for essential aspects of the month-end closing process, including stock-based compensation, leases, and investments.

• Create journal entries along with accompanying schedules.

• Oversee revenue accounting activities, which involve reviewing customer contracts, managing automated revenue schedules and journal entries, and performing deferred revenue reconciliations.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and perform flux analysis.

• Assist in preparing year-end financial statements and footnote disclosures.

• Develop audit schedules and facilitate the annual audit process.

• Enhance Rillet and create automated, AI-driven closing workflows.

• Document procedures and strengthen internal controls.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Billing, People, AP, and other departments regarding accounting inquiries and analyses.

• Report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager while working closely with the broader Finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.

• Experience in public accounting audits (Big 4 preferred) or comparable experience in a rapidly growing tech company.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.

• Proficient in advanced Excel or Google Sheets.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to enhance accounting efficiency.

• Excellent communication skills, accountability, process improvement mindset, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with SOX and internal controls in a public or public-company-ready setting (preferred).

• Experience with Rillet, NetSuite, or another contemporary ERP system (preferred).

• Background in SaaS or usage-based revenue (preferred).

• Experience in designing or implementing AI-assisted or automated accounting workflows (preferred).
