Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Director of Order to Cash and Revenue Accounting

• Take responsibility for the complete monthly revenue closure process

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses related to revenue, deferred revenue, and contract asset balances

• Generate the deferred revenue waterfall and financial reporting metrics

• Reconcile consumption data with billing and revenue

• Utilize SQL/data queries and AI tools to aid and automate revenue accounting tasks

• Review customer contracts and order forms in accordance with ASC 606

• Create accounting checklists for complex or non-standard agreements

• Calculate estimates, including standalone selling price analyses

• Assist with new product introductions, pricing models, SKU launches, and system upgrades or implementations

• Facilitate external audits and manage PBC requests concerning revenue

• Collaborate with AR & Billing, Legal, Sales Operations, FP&A, and Data teams to enhance the quote-to-revenue workflow

• Develop scalable, automated revenue processes

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on revenue accounting

• Ideally, experience in a SaaS or consumption-based technology environment

• Comprehensive understanding of ASC 606, covering contract review, SSP, and revenue disclosures

• Proficiency in NetSuite, Stripe, and Salesforce

• Familiarity with integrations and data flows between NetSuite, Stripe, and Salesforce

• Comfortable working with large datasets

• Proficient in SQL or similar query languages

• Keen interest in leveraging AI and automation to enhance processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Capacity to interpret complex contracts and datasets

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and clearly explain revenue-related matters

• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred

• Experience with Big Four public accounting is preferred

• Background in supporting audits, internal controls, and SOX readiness is preferred

• Experience with cloud marketplace billing, specifically with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
