Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation and examination of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Execute month-end closing activities, which include reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis.

• Facilitate the audit process by preparing schedules, supplying documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring precision and adherence to U.S. GAAP.

• Provide support for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll-related entries when necessary.

• Conduct financial analysis to aid business decisions and pinpoint opportunities for process improvements.

• Prepare and manage Excel-based reports and models to monitor performance and financial metrics.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Keep abreast of accounting regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 4-5 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both audit and corporate accounting.

• Familiarity with month-end closing processes and reconciliations.

• Previous experience with U.S.-based companies or knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Preferred: Experience in a public accounting firm or in a shared services/BPO environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP/accounting systems.

• Preferred: Strong teamwork abilities with the capacity to collaborate in a remote or global setting.
