This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Execute and review activities related to the general ledger, encompassing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop financial schedules, variance analyses, and management reports for internal use.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Generate schedules and aid in creating internal reporting packages for finance and accounting leadership.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including the preparation of footnotes and compliance ratio calculations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Deliver financial insights that support business decisions and enhance overall financial health.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry settings.
• Profound knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Strong financial literacy skills.
• Experience with general ledger and various financial systems.
• Proficiency in preparing account reconciliations and analyses.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience with OracleEPM/Hyperion or similar financial data tools is advantageous.
• An active CPA license or CPA candidacy is preferred.
• Background in Big 4/public accounting or relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
• Understanding of SOX compliance or other regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Exposure to automation or process optimization efforts is preferred.
