Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute intricate accounting assignments related to the income statement and balance sheet, encompassing journal entries, account reconciliations, report generation, flux analysis, and month-end closing activities.

• Oversee Property Accounting for over 80 locations, which includes Rent, CAM, Utilities, Taxes, Licenses, Deposits, Prepaids, Allocations, and other relevant accounting areas.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing and streamlining existing accounting procedures.

• Conduct ad hoc analyses, projects, and administrative responsibilities as required.

• Act as a liaison between the accounting department and real estate while providing overall support to the accounting function.

• Report directly to the Business Controller, US.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience with a solid understanding of US GAAP.

• Proficiency in various software and systems, including NetSuite, Excel, Adaptive Planning, Floqast, Coupa, and Square.

• Experience in multi-location property accounting is advantageous.

• Background in a multi-location retail organization is preferable.

• Capability to read and interpret lease agreements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the San Francisco Bay Area.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. will be confirmed through E-Verify.
