This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the complete accounting cycle for EII, which includes managing the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Supervise accounts payable and payment processing, employee reimbursements, and corporate credit card transactions.
• Assist in payroll preparation and management, encompassing reconciliations, remittances, journal entries, and coordination with payroll service providers.
• Handle daily banking and treasury operations, such as cash positioning, bank reconciliations, fund transfers, and payment execution.
• Provide support for accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition.
• Aid in cash flow forecasting and budget management; analyze discrepancies against the plan.
• Facilitate an efficient and precise month-end close process and prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and supporting documents.
• Create and sustain financial and operational KPI reporting and dashboards, including metrics like revenue, ARR, cash burn/runway, and more.
• Assist in management and Board reporting by delivering clear, actionable financial insights.
• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and Marketing throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Establish procedures, controls, and data standards that link CRM and Finance data.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, finance systems, and scalable processes.
• Support audit, tax, and compliance needs while coordinating with external advisors.
• Assist in multi-entity and multi-currency accounting for operations in Canada and the US.
• Identify opportunities to enhance controls, automate processes, and boost the efficiency and scalability of the finance function.
• CPA designation is preferred or in progress; substantial senior accounting experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting, including month-end closing, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, and treasury operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting standards, revenue recognition, internal controls, and multi-entity accounting.
• Advanced skills in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is advantageous, especially in areas like implementation, reporting, data integrity, or financial controls.
• A willingness to contribute across finance and the wider business as requirements change.
• Highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, demonstrating strong ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must reside in Canada and have authorization to work in Canada (Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or other work permit).
