This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Execute and evaluate general ledger functions, which encompass journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Aid in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Develop financial schedules, perform variance analyses, and compile internal management reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Create schedules and assist in the preparation of internal reporting packages for finance and accounting leadership.
• Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting data, including footnotes and supporting schedules.
• Conduct compliance ratio calculations and undertake related tasks as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by supplying documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and automation.
• Prepare financial analyses and address stakeholder inquiries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience in public accounting or in an industry setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Strong financial literacy.
• Experience with general ledger and various financial systems.
• Proficiency in preparing account reconciliations and analyses.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Active CPA license or CPA candidacy is preferred.
• Background in Big 4/public accounting or relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle EPM/Hyperion or similar financial data tools is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance or other regulatory frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with automation or process optimization initiatives is preferred.
