This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of advanced month-end closing tasks, which include but are not limited to the capitalization of software used internally, intricate allocations, debt management, accruals, comprehensive subsidiary financial reviews, and consolidation processes.
• Identify and investigate accounting issues in alignment with US GAAP standards.
• Prepare and record elimination and consolidation journal entries while conducting intercompany reconciliation and reporting.
• Oversee the accounting period close for assigned subsidiary entities in accordance with US GAAP and coordinate local statutory filings.
• Perform thorough GL account analysis, create balance sheet reconciliations, and provide variance/flux explanations for both P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Manage or assist with gross margin-related month-end tasks, including but not limited to accruals, revenue recognition, and reporting.
• Handle or support cash management tasks such as bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and intercompany settlements.
• Lead or assist with ad hoc projects or requests concerning financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Facilitate audit and management reporting needs by delivering accurate and timely results.
• Engage in cross-team training and coverage planning to ensure sufficient backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.
• Embrace an AI and automation mindset by proactively pinpointing opportunities to optimize workflows, automate recurring tasks, and improve the accuracy and scalability of accounting processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting (audit) is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate accounting.
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close.
• Demonstrated ability to connect insights across accounts and systems, identify issues, and independently implement solutions.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned duties.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and significant experience working with large data sets.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion is preferred.
