This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Accountable for sales, strategic planning for key accounts, and overall relationship management for several "target" customers within the designated territory.
• Create and execute a detailed sales strategy for each "target" account and/or geographical area, addressing their buying centers with the complete range of Motorola products and services, including core and emerging technologies.
• Assemble and manage a diverse team of internal and external sales resources to evaluate customer needs and meet their requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to influence customers' technology platform choices, fostering preference and loyalty towards Motorola Solutions.
• Proactively identify large project opportunities that encompass a broad array of products and services while forecasting business prospects for the next eight quarters.
• Take the initiative to engage and guide channel partners in promoting Motorola products and services to customer buying centers when suitable.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within and outside the public safety sector, including Sheriffs, Mayors, CIOs, Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, and other officials to understand and shape technology and funding priorities.
• Actively collaborate with Motorola executive sponsors to establish a strategic relationship that positions Motorola for long-term opportunities.
• Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for various solutions to be utilized across the customer base.
• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in sales, sales engineering, or public safety OR 8 years of experience in sales, sales engineering, or public safety.
• Preference for candidates with prior outside sales experience selling solutions to government organizations.
• Proven ability in developing and managing relationships.
• Capacity to rapidly learn new product/solution characteristics and effectively communicate their value to customers.
• Proficient in building and sustaining relationships with C-Level executives.
• Ability to lead a diverse team in addressing customer needs.
• Experience in leveraging channel partners to meet customer requirements.
• Quick adaptability to learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecasting method.
