
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and demand generation across designated hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute a cohesive territory business plan.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights within the relevant disease state and approved product.
• Present approved product sales to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Leverage and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Work in collaboration with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass territory sales goals while maximizing high-value customer and growth opportunities.
• Achieve formulary wins and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical conversations that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Foster collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization patterns, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activity effectiveness, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative duties and implement company brand strategies and tactics.
• Engage in training and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geographic area, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated ability to generate demand within hospitals.
• Experience in Anti-Infective preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leaders.
• Proven experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Competence in analyzing data and trends to develop actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, complemented by strong business acumen.
