
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +1 more state.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, ensuring protocol and order set readiness, providing discharge pathway support, and driving demand generation in targeted hospital accounts.
• Interact with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to boost sales.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate relationships with hospitals while gaining an understanding of customer needs and priorities.
• Offer scientific and clinical data related to the disease state and approved products.
• Conduct sales presentations and detailed clinical brand presentations for healthcare professionals.
• Effectively utilize and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Achieve formulary wins in hospitals and convert market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in conversations regarding patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Foster collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics while optimizing customer coverage and frequency.
• Understand healthcare delivery frameworks, physician hierarchies, pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff within assigned accounts.
• Analyze trends in utilization, customer insights, and local market conditions.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share successful practices with sales colleagues.
• Provide marketing feedback and collaborate on territory plans with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Take part in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated success in generating demand within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficient in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Proven experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Skill in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing market conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to adhering to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
