
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, ensuring readiness of protocols and order sets, supporting discharge pathways, and generating demand across designated hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while gaining an understanding of customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights related to the disease state and approved product areas.
• Present approved product sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Enhance customer engagement through effective use of resources.
• Work in collaboration with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Meet sales goals and maximize revenue across high-value customers and growth prospects.
• Achieve formulary wins and translate market access successes into increased prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in discussions regarding patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
• Promote collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers to product adoption.
• Strategically plan activities and optimize coverage and frequency with key customers.
• Conduct educational initiatives, in-service training, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory strategies in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget and execute administrative responsibilities.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the designated geographic area.
• Engage in training and development programs while ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.
• BA/BS degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned area, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Experience with Anti-Infective products is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structures, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience interacting with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and sales skills, combined with strong business acumen.
