This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, ensuring the readiness of protocols and order sets, supporting discharge pathways, and driving demand generation across designated hospital accounts.
• Interact with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to stimulate sales.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive business plan for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Offer scientific and clinical insights within the relevant disease state and approved product areas.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other relevant clinical personnel.
• Leverage and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Work collaboratively with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales objectives within the designated territory.
• Achieve hospital formulary victories and convert market access success into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in conversations about patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reducing readmission rates.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve obstacles affecting product adoption.
• Organize and plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer outreach and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share effective practices and strategies with fellow sales representatives.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies and assess sales activity and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement the company brand strategy and tactics.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight trips.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across both hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Proven ability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and selling abilities, complemented by strong business acumen.
