• Act as the main liaison for designated clients, fostering strong and enduring relationships.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to comprehend their requirements, resolve issues, and provide updates on revenue cycle management (RCM) performance.
• Anticipate client concerns and address potential challenges proactively.
• Manage the complete revenue cycle process, which includes charge capture, coding, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Collaborate with clients to pinpoint opportunities for streamlining operations, enhancing billing accuracy, and boosting revenue collection.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS) and client-specific policies.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on critical performance indicators (KPIs) related to the revenue cycle.
• Create and present client-specific reports that offer insights into revenue trends, outstanding accounts, and operational performance.
• Utilize data to drive improvements in processes and provide recommendations for increased efficiency and profitability.
• Investigate and swiftly resolve any escalated billing or collection issues.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams (coding, billing, compliance, etc.) to address complex client concerns.
• Ensure prompt follow-up and resolution of denied or rejected claims.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Propose process enhancements and implement best practices to optimize the RCM workflow.
• Contribute to the creation of internal process documentation and training resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Finance; however, relevant industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience in Anesthesia or Ophthalmology RCM is preferred.
• Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Revenue Cycle Professional – CRCP).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related healthcare finance positions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare billing, coding, compliance, and insurance processes.
• Ability to analyze intricate data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service abilities and a talent for fostering strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and address client escalations and concerns professionally.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment with various demands and interruptions.
• Proficiency in collaborating and communicating effectively with a diverse array of individuals, including other department managers, staff, physicians, patients, and clients.
• Advanced skills in RCM software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills (including pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, and reporting).
• Experience utilizing data analytics, technology, and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Adaptability to changes in regulations, technologies, and industry trends, with the ability to adjust revenue cycle management strategies accordingly.
• Ability to monitor team performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance both team and individual performance.
• Occasional travel may be necessary based on client requirements.
