• Deliver exceptional client service to partners, intermediaries, and plan sponsors.
• Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products and services by offering solutions to intricate plan challenges.
• Provide consultative support to assist clients in managing their retirement plans effectively.
• Collaborate with Leadership to ensure client satisfaction through retirement plan and operational expertise.
• Proactively identify, take ownership of, and resolve client concerns.
• Engage clients through value-added consulting initiatives.
• Act as a technical resource and mentor to colleagues.
• Ensure the protection, security, and proper handling of all confidential information.
• Maintain a high standard of consultative client service while coordinating communication with clients and partners.
• Coach and guide others in all facets of retirement plans and client relations.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned tasks; includes determining necessary actions for the resolution of client issues.
• Provide clients and advisors with clear and concise communication regarding services and resolutions throughout the service cycle.
• Assist leadership in managing vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partners.
• Support the sales team in their efforts to secure additional business.
• Gather and share feedback with relevant internal resources.
• Educate clients on plan features, product capabilities, or Ascensus functionalities and processes.
• Enhance client retention by responding appropriately to client communications and activities.
• Generate improvement ideas and provide feedback/solutions to minimize risks and enhance processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of direct client experience is required; experience in the Retirement Services industry is preferred.
• Certification or progress towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in an industry-related studies program is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively (clearly, concisely, and professionally) with all levels within the Ascensus organization and the client base.
• Strong presentation skills, business etiquette, client service skills, and time management capabilities.
• Proven professionalism in all aspects of the role.
• Experience with financial services systems (e.g., recordkeeping, trust, trading) along with plan recordkeeping and trust reconciliation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with Access and PowerPoint preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve the common goal of providing outstanding client service.
• Serve as a change agent to productively initiate and respond to change.
• Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to make sound business decisions regarding issues that, if mishandled, could create significant financial and client relations liabilities for the company.
• Willingness to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
• Detail-oriented with a strong quality focus.
• Ability to successfully lead a team and/or project.
