This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan for designated accounts, driving performance through effective account planning.
• Establish and nurture robust, enduring relationships with key clients, including fostering connections with senior leaders across various functions such as Procurement, R&D, vendor management, and strategic outsourcing.
• Identify and pursue revenue generation opportunities to enhance market penetration within assigned Key Accounts.
• Create targeted strategies for success with specific global accounts.
• Evaluate client satisfaction and suggest improvements where applicable.
• Ensure sales execution success by facilitating wallet share expansion, new business opportunities, and portfolio development across global Key Accounts.
• Manage the RFP/Proposal process effectively to meet and surpass key account expectations; actively deliver RFP responses and engage in contract negotiations while recommending enhancements to profitable solutions that align with customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal Business and Project Management Teams to ensure a cohesive approach in promoting business direction and implementing necessary adjustments to secure and maintain key accounts.
• Prepare and deliver regular updates on business development activities and outcomes to the VP GMP, Business Development.
• A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in business administration, sales, or a related area; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Prior experience that equips the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, ideally with 5+ years of strong preference for clinical business development and key account management in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device sales sectors.
• Experience in global sales with a diverse account portfolio.
• Understanding of the environment that supports drug development through commercialization, including a solid grasp of common customer needs in this sector.
• Awareness of the regulatory landscape, including knowledge of regulatory bodies, compliance requirements, and any updates or changes in regulations to effectively address compliance concerns of prospective clients.
• Strong customer relationship management skills to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions.
• Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify and cultivate sales leads, present capabilities, navigate the sales process, and finalize deals.
• Strong business intuition and critical thinking skills to translate strategies into profitability and business growth.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights, including excellent presentation skills at an executive level.
• Demonstrated global and cultural awareness.
• Proficient in relevant software applications, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
