This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of revenue growth in Southern California, concentrating on Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and their neighboring cities and districts.
• Discover and pursue valuable public-sector opportunities with municipalities, transit agencies, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Downtown Development Authorities (DDAs), Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs), and regional mobility organizations.
• Formulate a territory strategy centered around markets that exhibit strong fit signals, such as microtransit studies, grant funding, transit deserts, congestion, parking challenges, carbon-reduction objectives, and existing transportation gaps.
• Transform individual city victories into broader regional clusters by targeting nearby cities, districts, agencies, private developments, hotels, and institutional partners.
• Uphold a structured target-account strategy in HubSpot, featuring clear prioritization, next steps, stakeholder mapping, and pipeline visibility.
• Propel new logo sales across various transportation applications, including on-demand microtransit, fixed-route community shuttles, first-mile/last-mile transit connections, senior transportation, community mobility, hotel transport, mixed-use and real estate developer mobility initiatives, and employee campus shuttle services.
• Craft account-specific strategies based on each prospect’s funding sources, operational requirements, political agendas, and procurement pathways.
• Actively source opportunities through outreach, relationship cultivation, conferences, referrals, grant tracking, and market intelligence.
• Oversee complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving city managers, transportation directors, planners, elected officials, parking managers, procurement teams, economic development leaders, and regional agencies.
• Navigate public-sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, sole-source opportunities, piggyback contracts, cooperative purchasing, pilot programs, and direct procurement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and leadership to ensure proposed deals are operationally viable, profitable, and strategically aligned.
• Lead RFP strategies, proposal development, presentations, interviews, and follow-up activities alongside internal teams.
• Identify anchor accounts that can establish credibility and unlock further regional opportunities.
• Foster strong local relationships with transportation consultants, planning firms, mobility advocates, business associations, and public-sector influencers.
• Assist in positioning Circuit as the preferred electric microtransit partner for Southern California communities in search of modern, sustainable, and appropriately-sized mobility solutions.
• Create partnerships with complementary operators or organizations where Circuit can add value through an electric microtransit layer.
• 8+ years of experience in B2B, B2G, transportation, mobility, infrastructure, government services, or consultative sales.
• A proven history of closing complex deals with public-sector or highly regulated clients.
• Experience selling to cities, counties, transit agencies, municipalities, transportation departments, parking agencies, developers, or similar stakeholders.
• Strong grasp of public-sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, sole-source justifications, piggybacking, cooperative purchasing, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
• Background in transit, mobility, transportation operations, EV infrastructure, parking, shuttle services, microtransit, government technology, or infrastructure services is highly preferred.
• Capability to generate demand proactively, rather than merely reacting to inbound leads or published RFPs.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to engage with city managers, elected officials, agency leaders, developers, hotel operators, and internal leadership.
• Highly organized and disciplined in CRM management, follow-up, and forecasting.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where the playbook is evolving but not always fully established.
• Residing in Southern California, ideally between Los Angeles and San Diego, with a willingness to travel throughout the region as necessary.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
• Flexible work arrangements and a supportive company culture.
• Access to cutting-edge technology and tools to enhance your work experience.
