This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Act as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert on Lightwell Security.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address technical challenges.
• Serve as a liaison with Red Hat Product Security, partners, and customer security and operations teams.
• Assist customers in utilizing the Lightwell clearinghouse for triage, patching, and backporting.
• Offer best practices for integrating Lightwell-remediated libraries into customer software development lifecycles alongside Red Hat Consulting.
• Create customer engagement strategies and maintain environmental documentation.
• Address support inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Guide customer teams on security best practices through mentorship.
• Contribute to the Red Hat knowledge base.
• Design solution patterns to facilitate platform adoption and ensure long-term enterprise success.
• Over 10 years of experience in software development, security, customer support, engineering, or QA.
• Proven history in a strategic advisory capacity to senior IT and business executives.
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Profound understanding of software supply chains and CI/CD processes.
• Advanced skills in deploying containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in non-containerized deployment utilizing Ansible/AAP.
• Familiarity with image building via Docker and Podman.
• Knowledge of Git version control practices.
• Experience with artifact repository tools such as Red Hat Quay, JFrog Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus, or uDeploy.
• Practical experience with Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Workflows, OpenShift GitOps, or Red Hat Pipelines.
• Advanced understanding of unit testing fundamentals, including JUnit and pytest.
• Knowledge of governance automation checks.
• Awareness of library versioning through semver and the broader Java ecosystem.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An Associate's, Bachelor's degree, or higher in computer science or a related technical field.
• Willingness to travel internationally and to customer sites as needed.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills in English.
• A passion for open-source software and the Red Hat technology portfolio.
• Previous experience as a developer, consultant, or solutions architect.
• Red Hat Certified RHCE; RHCA preferred.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, CC, or CEH.
