Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Convert research hypotheses into tangible artifacts, such as models, algorithms, tools, or experiments.

• Write or co-write scientific papers to enhance Kunumi’s visibility within the research community.

• Create tools, environments, and processes for scientific experimentation, data analysis, and reproducibility.

• Refine architectures and computational workflows to optimize the balance between computational expense and AI model efficacy.

• Tailor theoretical concepts to real-world applications, considering data, hardware, and integration with existing systems.

• Work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams to translate research into viable solutions for products, business initiatives, or strategic projects.

• Promote the ongoing enhancement of the technical infrastructure utilized in the laboratories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Python programming and familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Comprehensive understanding of applied mathematics, encompassing linear algebra, calculus, and statistics.

• Expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

• Background in distributed systems and large-scale data pipelines.

• Knowledge of version control (Git), code testing, and contemporary software engineering practices.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with researchers and multidisciplinary teams.

• Proven experience in authoring scientific papers published in conference proceedings and reputable journals within the computer science domain.
