This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate as a member of a Cyber Defense team that operates around the clock in rotational shifts.
• Consistently monitor and address advanced threats and changing attack vectors across various environments.
• Conduct thorough investigations and triage of security alerts to ascertain root causes, impacts, and relevance.
• Analyze alerts and telemetry from SIEM and logging sources such as EDR, IPS, Firewall, and threat intelligence platforms to pinpoint actual threats.
• Manage detections aimed at cloud infrastructure, services, and applications.
• Offer recommendations for containment, mitigation, and recovery to client or internal response teams.
• Assist in the development and refinement of detection rules, analytics, and use cases.
• Work in conjunction with Threat Intelligence, SOAR, and Engineering teams for enrichment and contextual analysis.
• Document investigations, findings, and recommendations following SOC SOPs and reporting standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert on detection and response methodologies, including SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, log analysis, network and EDR telemetry, and other response techniques.
• Create and maintain SOPs, playbooks, runbooks, and SOC operational procedures.
• Mentor and support junior analysts while fostering continuous learning, operational excellence, quality benchmarks, and SLAs.
• Over 4 years of experience in incident response, SOC Tier 2, or a comparable role.
• Strong comprehension of adversary tradecraft, including MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Profound understanding of cloud security principles.
• Experience with EDRs, SIEMs, SOARs, and log management pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for analysis purposes.
• Thorough understanding of network protocols, endpoint artifacts, memory, and log analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
• Capability to perform under pressure during incidents with minimal supervision.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, particularly when engaging with stakeholders.
• Collaborative, yet able to maintain deep focus and contribute individually.
