Security Operations AI Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and complete all responsibilities associated with assigned projects.

• Collaborate with the Security Operations and Engineering Team to uphold the security integrity of essential applications.

• Deliver 24/7 critical security incident response when immediate action is necessary.

• Ensure that security tools are functional and fulfill service and availability standards.

• Develop operational practices, tools, and processes for the swift identification and resolution of security events.

• Strategize, organize, and execute duties to meet project objectives while providing technical leadership.

• Contribute to the development of security requirements, standards, procedures, and reference architectures.

• Create and maintain AI/ML security incident response playbooks and detection mechanisms.

• Monitor and secure generative AI systems, large language models (LLMs), and AI-driven applications.

• Participate in the establishment of AI governance frameworks and policies.

• Assess the security implications of AI/ML tools and platforms prior to their production rollout.

• Engage in AI threat intelligence initiatives.

• Conduct post-incident evaluations and devise preventive strategies for AI security incidents.

• Review and confirm the robustness of AI models against adversarial inputs and data privacy measures.

• Build and maintain AI operations tools, pipelines, and telemetry to support secure AI/ML deployments.

• Configure AI/ML telemetry and logging for security detection and forensic analysis.

• Proven experience or capability in AI information security operations, incident response, and security engineering.

• Familiarity with securing AI/ML systems and associated infrastructure.

• Background in security operations and engineering for mission-critical applications.

• Availability to provide 24/7 support for critical security incident response.

• Experience in maintaining security tools at required service and availability levels.

• Knowledge of security requirements, standards, procedures, and reference architectures.

• Experience in developing AI/ML security detection logic and incident response playbooks.

• Awareness of AI/ML security threats such as prompt injection, model poisoning, data exfiltration, and adversarial attacks.

• Experience in monitoring and securing generative AI systems, large language models (LLMs), and AI-powered applications.

• Understanding of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, and AI-specific security standards.

• Ability to evaluate security implications of AI/ML tools and platforms before production deployment.

• Knowledge of AI threat intelligence, emerging AI security vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.

• Experience in configuring AI/ML telemetry and logging for security event detection and forensic analysis.

• Capability to validate AI model security properties, adversarial resilience, and data privacy safeguards.

• Must not require visa sponsorship or transfer; 66degrees cannot sponsor or transfer visas of any kind.
