This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and manage designated cybersecurity platforms, such as Zscaler, Armis, SentinelOne, and related systems.
• Assist with daily security operations tasks, including alert review and tuning, triage, escalation, and follow-up tracking.
• Provide support to the MSSP regarding alert configuration, runbooks, and tuning.
• Aid in the administration of identity, endpoint, asset management, privileged access, and email security controls.
• Facilitate asset discovery, inventory validation, asset tagging, ownership mapping, and reconciliation across various platforms.
• Keep documentation updated for platform ownership, administrative access, configuration standards, operational procedures, and support workflows.
• Collaborate with vendors and certified partners post-implementation to ensure handoff, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.
• Support user-reported phishing workflows, email security investigations, and awareness follow-up initiatives.
• Assist in privileged access management processes, access reviews, credential lifecycle tasks, and exception tracking.
• Work with DevOps on cloud security, Zscaler, Rubrik, GCP, Cloudflare, GitHub Advanced Security, and related requirements.
• Generate regular operational reports for IT leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Monitor remediation items, open issues, platform risks, and operational gaps until resolution.
• Partner with IT and Engineering on patching, configuration management, endpoint compliance, and device security workflows.
• Engage in security incidents, investigations, tabletop exercises, and initiatives for maturity improvement.
• Contribute to enhancing cybersecurity platform ownership, asset inventory accuracy, documentation, process repeatability, alert follow-up, vendor coordination, and security reporting.
• Facilitate the effective use of interns for low-risk, repeatable tasks.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, security operations, systems administration, endpoint administration, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience managing security or infrastructure platforms within a small to mid-sized setting.
• In-depth knowledge of identity, endpoint, asset management, patching, and security operations concepts.
• Proficiency with one or more of the following tools: Okta, Intune, Kandji, SentinelOne, NinjaOne, Fortinet, Armis, Abnormal Security, Zscaler, Rubrik, GCP, Cloudflare, or GitHub security tools.
• Capable of conducting basic security alert reviews, troubleshooting, and escalation.
• Excellent documentation abilities, including the capacity to create runbooks, procedures, checklists, and operational tracking documents.
• Competence in collaborating across IT, DevOps, security, and vendor teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a small-team environment.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, research, or other regulated sectors.
• Preferred: Knowledge of HIPAA, privacy, data protection, or clinical operations.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
• Preferred: Background in privileged access management or identity governance.
• Preferred: Experience in asset discovery, CMDB cleanup, device ownership mapping, or inventory normalization.
• Preferred: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS Controls or NIST CSF.
• Preferred: Awareness of emerging AI capabilities and their relevance to cybersecurity domains.
• Preferred: Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, Okta, Google Cloud, or other relevant vendor certifications.
