Junior Cyber Defender – SOC Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Identify and address threats within the Cyber Defense Center (SOC) by conducting comprehensive investigations.

• Assist in the creation and execution of internal procedures.

• Partner with various CDC teams to promote ongoing improvement and automation efforts.

• Engage with the complete stack for detection and response, encompassing identity, endpoint, network, and cloud domains.

• Participate in projects that involve collaboration with other internal teams and clients to enhance service delivery.

• Respond proactively to emerging threats.

• Continuously develop skills and knowledge through exposure to diverse attack scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Proficiency with security tools such as EDR and SIEM.

• Dependable individual, self-motivated, eager to take initiative, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Security Stacks is advantageous.

• Relevant security certifications would be beneficial.

• Strong passion for information security.

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire security landscape.

• Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Identity, Endpoint, Network, or Cloud.

• Willingness to participate in a Follow the Sun support model and be on-call, including nights and holidays.

• Capability to function as part of a Global Cyber Defense Center team.
