This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage the security vulnerability backlog for kernel and firmware elements, ensuring prompt triage, remediation, and adherence to SLAs.

• Develop innovative and scalable strategies to minimize the growth of the vulnerability backlog.

• Oversee a continuous security pipeline that includes scanning, triage, root-cause analysis, remediation, and validation across both software and firmware components.

• Communicate security risks, the overall security posture, and progress on remediation through metrics, reports, and engagement with stakeholders.

• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to establish and implement a long-term security strategy and efforts for product hardening.

• Lead and execute security reviews of both software and hardware designs.

• Support colleagues in maintaining product quality and reliability.

• Assess, suggest, and create security technologies, tools, and methodologies, including static analysis and dynamic fuzzing solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering within the industry.

• Proficient in security analysis of complex systems.

• Strong C programming skills and experience with low-level driver development.

• Solid understanding of operating systems and fundamental computer architecture.

• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.

• Familiarity with secure coding practices and tools, including static analysis tools like Coverity or Checkmarx.

• Experience with dynamic scanning tools such as Rapid 7 or AppSider.

• Knowledge of fuzzing tools like AFL or Peach.

• Proficiency in code coverage tools such as Bullseye or LDRA.

• Experience in applying AI/LLM-based tools and autonomous workflows.

• Background in vulnerability research.

• Understanding of secure software development lifecycle methodologies, including threat modeling, unit testing, and incident response.

• Ability to work effectively in large, geographically distributed teams.
