This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Plan, acquire, install, maintain, upgrade, replace, and conduct preventive maintenance on electronic security systems, including annual IDS evaluations.

• Maintain an inventory of electronic security devices and update records as equipment is added, upgraded, or removed.

• Offer technical assistance to team members and serve as the technical authority for customers.

• Diagnose electrical systems, test devices, install electronic components and surveillance cameras, and utilize software monitoring systems.

• Adhere to layout sheets, building plans, floor plans, circuit schematics, descriptions, and technical guidance from manufacturers.

• Record, schedule, and finalize work orders with comprehensive descriptions of completed tasks.

• Process work orders requested by customers through email, phone, or text.

• Complete and dispatch work orders and annual testing reports to the customer and project manager on a weekly basis.

• Provide monthly activity documentation to the project manager by the first day of the following month.

• Prepare weekly expense reports as required.

• Execute other job-related duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Active Department of Treasury clearance or the ability to obtain one.

• Around 3+ years of experience in government or commercial installations and locations preferred.

• Essential experience with Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).

• Training and experience in circuitry, electronics, basic wiring connections, fiber optic cabling and connections, VSS, ACS, IDS, CAT6 cabling runs, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting ACS, IDS, and VSS hardware and software.

• Familiarity with installing equipment and configuring connections with centralized monitoring systems such as Identiv, Honeywell, and Bosch is preferred.

• Experience as a low voltage electrician and formal training is a plus.

• Formal training in electronics and circuitry through technical school or industry-vendor training certifications.

• Proficient in using digital multimeters, toner tracers, lineman handsets, and video test monitors.

• Certification as an installer for equipment such as Identiv/Hirsch, Software House, Bosch, Honeywell, and Exacq.

• Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to secure at least a Department of Treasury clearance.

• GED is required.

• Must successfully pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications.
