This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Oversee, assess, and report on security service engagements with key customers of Cisco.
• Collaborate with both technical and management personnel from customer organizations.
• Provide security solutions both independently and by leading engineers across various technical fields.
• Design, document, validate, pilot, deploy, and automate Cisco Security Solutions.
• Offer ongoing support services to enhance customer value from implemented solutions.
• Deliver in-depth technical knowledge on Cisco security technologies and articulate the architectural context along with the broader security solution.
• Analyze and present alternative designs to sway outcomes effectively.
• Diagnose, identify root causes, and assist customers in recovering from technical and security challenges.
• Engage in global collaboration within the security practice and work cross-functionally with other Cisco teams.
• Aid in the development of, and comply with, standards, templates, methodologies, best practices, and delivery frameworks.
• Foster trusted-advisor relationships with customers and recognize potential future engagement opportunities.
• Support customer proposals and statements of work by supplying scope and effort details to Account Teams.
• At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, and systems integration within large enterprise environments.
• Profound technical knowledge of Cisco Secure Firewall / ASA security technologies.
• Experience in constructing and managing enterprise firewall deployments in both cloud and on-premises settings.
• Extensive technical expertise in VPN technologies.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining enterprise VPN deployments both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Familiarity with Cisco AnyConnect and Secure Client.
• Technical proficiency in Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Secure Access, and other SASE solutions.
• Strong technical understanding of Cisco ISE and TrustSec; hands-on experience is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Cloud Security, Network Visibility, and Zero Trust Segmentation solutions.
• Capability to deliver automation artifacts using standard automation frameworks, programming languages, Generative AI systems, and Cisco APIs.
• Experience in preparing, planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, automating, and operating network security solutions.
• Strong grasp of secure design principles, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, adaptability, scalability, dependability, and modularity.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical staff and executives.
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualification.
• CCNP Security certification.
• Preferred: expertise in Cisco Security technologies for both on-premises and cloud environments, including SNA, Secure Workload, Secure Endpoint, DUO, and Cisco XDR.
• Preferred: experience in routing and switching, infrastructure applications, voice, content networking, wireless, Software Defined Access, and Software Defined WAN.
• Desired certifications include DevNet Associate, CCIE Security, CISSP, SANS GIAC, and NSA IAM.
