This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Manage the creation and execution of application security protocols across the organization in client settings.
• Ensure that application security practices fulfill business needs and protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, damage, or loss.
• Supervise the establishment of access controls that limit systems, data, and program access to authorized and trained personnel.
• Oversee the proper disposal of highly sensitive confidential information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Create and implement comprehensive security protocols.
• Lead the security administrator team to guarantee adherence to client security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with program security requirements, encompassing personnel, physical, and administrative security systems and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding security protocols and audit compliance.
• Coordinate corporate security initiatives to ensure alignment with client, governmental, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Develop, organize, and deliver security education programs.
• Investigate or supervise inquiries into losses and security breaches, and propose corrective measures.
• Implement approved corrective actions and prepare summaries for review by senior management.
• Research technological innovations to enhance and align security solutions with industry and organizational standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of nine years of experience in information systems security or computer operations.
• Experience with corporate-level security systems and implementation processes.
• Familiarity with corporate and government security regulations.
• Experience with organizational security software products.
• Knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, user profiles, and digital signatures.
• Must possess a security clearance at the Secret level and/or hold a CISSP certification.
• Proficient in personal computer and business solutions software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities related to the design, creation, and testing of security systems.
• Leadership qualities to mentor and guide less experienced staff.
• Strong research abilities.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and switch between them rapidly.
• Video cameras are required during all interviews and throughout the initial week of orientation.
