Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create security architecture designs for internal systems and customer solutions that align with the overarching architecture framework.

• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for applications, platforms, and services.

• Develop security assurance documentation for internal governance, customer assurance, and formal accreditation activities.

• Collaborate with Technical Architects and Enterprise Architects to ensure that solutions are secure by default and proportional to risk.

• Evaluate the impact of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, including CVEs, and provide advice on remediation strategies.

• Assist delivery teams with security guidance and hands-on involvement.

• Present security designs and risk assessments to the Technical Assurance Board.

• Facilitate assurance decision-making processes.

• Contribute to bids and sales efforts through security architecture input and responses to questionnaires.

• Aid in the evaluation and controlled adoption of new security technologies.

• Continuously enhance skills and knowledge in response to evolving threats, technologies, and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in designing and ensuring secure systems.

• Solid understanding of security principles and non-functional requirements.

• Strong grasp of risk management practices.

• Confidence in engaging stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and governance sectors.

• Experience in regulated or public-sector environments is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials, NIST, or CIS is preferred.

• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

• Capability to provide documentary proof of UK work and travel rights.

• Successful completion of vetting, references, and occupational health checks.

• A DBS check may be necessary depending on the role's specifics.
