This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +3 more states.
• Act as a reliable cybersecurity partner for Optiv clients.
• Develop practical, scalable, and defensible security solutions that align with client initiatives.
• Primarily focus on Threat Management, while possessing additional expertise in related security areas.
• Propel services and technology business to achieve or surpass quota objectives alongside account teams.
• Adhere to Optiv's Standardized Sales Operating Processes.
• Comprehend client security environments, operations, requirements, and risk tolerance.
• Recognize security challenges and match them with Optiv’s strategic solutions.
• Engage in the Field Center of Excellence and promote Optiv services and technology partners.
• Spot cross-sell and upsell opportunities; assess leads and manage them through to closure.
• Clearly communicate how Optiv’s technology and services portfolio addresses client stakeholder requirements.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and the cybersecurity landscape to offer thought leadership and insights.
• Collaborate with service delivery teams on domain-specific materials and solution consistency.
• Formulate security strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives, budgets, and ROI metrics.
• Sustain advisory relationships with client stakeholders and Optiv technology partners.
• Design comprehensive security programs, encompassing requirements gathering, technology selection, demonstrations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal Optiv teams to align client expectations and ensure excellence in service delivery.
• Relay client feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Engage in account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and proposal processes.
• Prepare business proposals and contracts, and respond to RFIs/RFPs.
• Maintain and enhance technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and security-specific knowledge through education, certifications, and other methods.
• BS/BA or equivalent experience and/or relevant work experience.
• At least five (5) years in an information security role concentrating on Threat Management, ideally as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer.
• Proficiency in Application Security Tools, Vulnerability Management, Threat Management/Hunting, Enterprise Incident Management, Forensics/eDiscovery, Threat Intelligence Platforms, and Asset Management.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, GIAC, or other relevant professional cybersecurity credentials.
• Experience in speaking and promoting technology vision at industry events.
• Highly driven self-starter who does not require constant management.
• Capability to thrive in a highly adaptable and responsive team environment with effective communication.
• In-depth understanding of the current threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive measures.
• Strong business and technical insight with the ability to lead technology-focused discussions.
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including proficiency in whiteboard sessions and other presentation formats.
• Keen attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables.
• Extensive security-related knowledge and a commitment to ongoing expertise expansion across other portfolio domains.
• Vendor-specific certifications primarily focused on the specialty area.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time or as required.
