Seasonal Part-Time Audit Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform audits and deliver various services to clients in the condominium/cooperative sector.

• Develop workpapers, reports, and necessary documentation for audits.

• Prepare financial statements along with accompanying footnotes.

• Manage multiple engagements of varying sizes concurrently.

• Enhance and sustain client relationships through outstanding customer service.

• Serve a diverse range of clients within the NY/NJ condominium/cooperative arena.

• Collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating independent work capabilities.

• Participate actively during the busy season from January to mid-June, with the possibility of occasional work throughout the rest of the year.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with prior public accounting experience preferred.

• Knowledge of journal entries.

• Strong proficiency in navigating general ledgers.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and general accounting standards.

• Proficient in Excel and Word (part of the Microsoft 365 suite).

• Capability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• Ability to complete tasks within specified timeframes and deadlines.

• Skills in prioritization and independent task management in a remote work environment.

• Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Dedication to fulfilling deadlines.

• Understanding and alignment with the firm's core values.

• Availability for approximately 20–30 hours per week from January to mid-June, with the possibility of occasional work from July to December.

• Must possess work authorization/residence in the U.S., with a preference for NJ/NY residency.
