Seasonal Community Organizer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture connections with community leaders, faith-based organizations, and local partners in designated areas, particularly focusing on historically underrepresented populations.

• Implement outreach strategies to achieve assigned engagement objectives, which include volunteer recruitment, canvassing, phone banking, personal conversations, and community events.

• Organize, support, and engage in outreach events and educational programs in partnership with collaborators.

• Accurately track and report outreach activities and metrics in a timely manner.

• Keep organized and current records of contacts and engagement efforts, coordinating with the Data Team as necessary.

• Recruit, train, and assist volunteers, aiming to cultivate long-term community leadership through a progression of engagement.

• Leverage digital and relational organizing tools to enhance outreach initiatives.

• Stay updated on civic engagement trends and represent Fair Count at meetings, events, and presentations.

• Attend mandatory team meetings, training sessions, and regular check-ins with supervisors.

• Carry out additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and capacity to foster relationships within diverse communities.

• Dependable and responsive in communication (email, phone, and messaging platforms).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database management tools.

• Capability to efficiently manage time while working remotely and in the field.
