This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
β’ We are seeking an SDR / Appointment Setter for a rapidly expanding corporate FX company focused on UK-based businesses.
β’ This role is heavily centered on cold calling, aimed at generating qualified meetings with finance directors, CFOs, and treasury teams in the UK for the FX sales desk.
β’ You will operate during UK hours from South Africa, identifying and reaching out to prospects who are currently overpaying on foreign exchange, and scheduling consultations with the dealing team.
β’ This position does not involve warm inbound leads; you'll be actively making calls each day, opening doors to new accounts, and building a pipeline from the ground up.
β’ On a daily basis, you will research target companies with FX exposure, make 80β120+ outbound calls, qualify prospects based on defined criteria, schedule meetings directly into the sales team's calendar, and maintain precise CRM records.
β’ You will be required to clearly convey the value proposition related to FX cost savings, rate transparency, and service quality compared to traditional banks.
β’ Previous experience in corporate FX is crucial β you must comprehend spot, forward, and payment flows, and feel comfortable conversing with senior finance stakeholders in that context.
β’ Proven experience selling in the UK market, with a solid understanding of UK business culture and purchasing cycles.
β’ A clear and demonstrable track record of success in cold calling β we will expect to see metrics (dials, connect rates, meetings booked, conversion rates). If you cannot provide numerical evidence, this is likely not the right role for you.
β’ Must be based in South Africa and able to work UK hours (typically 9amβ5pm GMT/BST).
β’ Exceptional spoken English with a clear and professional phone demeanor.
β’ Resilient, self-driven, and comfortable with high-volume outbound activities and the possibility of daily rejection.
β’ Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) is required.
