This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure the integrity of customer data, schemas, data contracts, and identity resolution within the data ecosystem.

• Create automated tests for web and mobile application events, SDK implementations, consent signals, and customer journeys.

• Validate complete data flows across various platforms, including Databricks, mParticle, Braze, and OneTrust, focusing on API integrations and audience activation.

• Assess both batch and near real-time data pipelines, transformations, data quality, freshness, and latency in accordance with defined service level agreements (SLAs).

• Utilize SQL and Python to detect data anomalies, validate extensive datasets, and automate regression testing processes.

• Develop API mocks and automated integration tests to guarantee the correct flow of data and customer actions between systems.

• Establish automated rules for data quality and schema validation to identify corrupted records, data issues, and schema drift.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Martech teams to triage defects, root cause analysis, and prevent recurring problems.

• Integrate automated testing and data quality assessments into CI/CD workflows while continuously enhancing the testing infrastructure.

• Validate consent and preference management within customer data flows to comply with GDPR, UK GDPR, and other privacy regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in SDET, Data QA, Automation Engineering, or a comparable software/data testing role, preferably in Martech, Data, or B2C settings.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with a proven track record of creating automated test suites and validating large-scale datasets.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing automated data testing or quality frameworks from scratch.

• Practical experience with modern cloud data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar, along with a solid understanding of data pipelines and lakehouse/warehouse architectures.

• Extensive experience in testing ETL/ELT pipelines in both batch and near real-time environments, familiar with tools such as dbt, Airflow, or similar.

• Background in testing Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and customer data flows, encompassing event ingestion, identity resolution, audience activation, and downstream integrations.

• Strong expertise in API testing, including REST APIs, payload validation, mocking, and cross-platform integration testing.

• Exceptional skills in defect triage and root-cause analysis, with experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to resolve issues and avert regressions.

• Comprehensive understanding of data quality, governance, privacy, and consent management within customer data ecosystems.

• Proficient in English at a C1 level.
