Scrum Master – Delivery Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead a high-performing Agile team that supports essential database operations, maintenance, and modernization for a government client.

• Facilitate collaboration within the team and promote continuous improvement.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the client.

• Shield the team from distractions and eliminate obstacles.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Reviews/Demos.

• Oversee cross-functional teams consisting of 5–10 full-time equivalents (FTEs).

• Regularly gather, compute, and report on progress metrics.

• Lead work estimation and Level of Effort (LOE) activities while keeping a strong focus on Sprint goals, quality, flow, and velocity.

• Ensure compliance with standards for code development, automated testing, version control, and documentation.

• Create and manage product roadmaps and schedules.

• Coach the team on Agile principles and process enhancements.

• Maintain the backlog and refine release plans in collaboration with clients.

• Assist in risk management and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams.

• Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

• Proficiency in removing blockers and managing risks effectively.

• Exceptional facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.

• Active secret clearance is required.

• Work authorization in the United States without any current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.

• Understanding of database operations and modernization concepts.

• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
