This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile software development teams delivering advanced software solutions for the U.S. Army.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, which include Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Guide development teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile principles, Scrum methodologies, and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure a well-maintained, prioritized product backlog and lead backlog refinement sessions that prepare tasks for upcoming sprints.
• Work closely with the Technical Program Manager to synchronize sprint execution with program milestones, release timelines, and delivery goals.
• Partner with the Engineering Lead to identify technical dependencies, eliminate delivery obstacles, and enhance team efficiency.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among software engineering, UX/UI, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, platform engineering, and forward-deployed engineering teams.
• Recognize, monitor, and assist in removing organizational and technical barriers that affect team velocity, quality, or predictability.
• Maintain Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, throughput, cumulative flow, and team health metrics to aid in forecasting and continuous improvement.
• Advocate for reliable and sustainable software delivery while balancing mission priorities, quality standards, and cybersecurity obligations.
• Assist in release planning, software presentations, customer feedback sessions, and operational fielding activities.
• Promote close collaboration with Army users to ensure that operational feedback is consistently integrated into future product developments.
• Aid in establishing and advancing Agile delivery processes that can scale across various software development teams.
• Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile software development teams.
• Proven experience leading Agile teams utilizing Scrum and/or Kanban to deliver enterprise software solutions.
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, Scrum, Lean principles, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and DevSecOps concepts.
• Demonstrated capability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners to manage and refine product backlogs.
• Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or other similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to navigate uncertainty, manage shifting priorities, and sustain delivery momentum in dynamic, mission-oriented environments.
