This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the agile/scrum methodology and lead sprint teams to achieve successful sprint outcomes.
• Collaborate with product owners and leadership to facilitate discussions both within and beyond sprint teams.
• Advocate for the adoption of agile/scrum principles.
• Monitor team performance and guide workload commitments effectively.
• Liaise with external teams or individuals to eliminate uncertainty and ensure sprints remain on track.
• Protect the team from external distractions that may compromise sprint objectives.
• Keep team members engaged, involved, and well-informed.
• Ensure data integrity, completeness, and accuracy in work-tracking and reporting systems.
• Facilitate effective stand-ups, grooming sessions, sprint planning, release planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Foster collective ownership of story completion and sprint objectives.
• Ensure the team comprehends and commits to sprint goals.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior management.
• Escalate any unresolved impediments.
• Oversee projects for the engineering team.
• Organize cross-functional meetings and create project plans, release plans, and other essential documents.
• Assist in defining, measuring, and enhancing velocity, completed work, and impediment hours.
• Experience as a Scrum Master within web engineering and familiarity with product launch processes.
• Highly driven, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional experiences.
• Organized and efficient in planning and coordinating projects and sprints.
• Capability to lead sprint and extended teams using agile best practices and principles.
• Ability to mentor sprint teams and external members on agile/scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in agile and software development tools, such as JIRA.
• Proven track record of leading agile/scrum projects in cross-functional, highly matrixed organizations.
• Skill in influencing and coaching senior leadership to enhance the agile practice.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is required.
• PMP certification is preferred.
