This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Lead agile software initiatives from the initial product concept through to release.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to gain insights into product and project goals and anticipated outcomes.
• Facilitate stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Address team impediments and maintain agile metrics on information radiators.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on velocity, cycle time, sprint burndown, and predictability metrics.
• Guide team members and CCM employees in agile principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Foster collaboration, transparency, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee the complete portfolio intake pipeline.
• Assess submissions and ensure items are prepared for intake review sessions.
• Uphold the single-path intake rule and redirect direct requests through the appropriate channels.
• Coordinate intake review, portfolio synchronization, and portfolio leadership meetings.
• Present options and recommendations without making decisions on priority or sequencing.
• Ensure portfolio-level visibility in Jira, including up-to-date dashboards and current initiative statuses.
• Manage the portfolio health scorecard for delivery, governance, and KPI health indicators.
• Coordinate dependencies across the portfolio and escalate unresolved conflicts.
• Keep the portfolio exception log updated with resolution tracking.
• Assist in quarterly portfolio planning, which includes capacity planning, objective setting, and backlog reviews.
• More than 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• CSM or PMI-ACP certification is preferred.
• Significant experience leading large web-based software projects and delivering new products.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with frequent software releases.
• Background in a portfolio or program management context, managing intake, capacity, and delivery visibility across multiple teams simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of agile principles and frameworks.
• Experience in implementing agile practices across both sprint-based and Kanban teams.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for portfolio tracking, board management, and reporting.
• Knowledge of software engineering, databases, analytics and reporting, and cloud concepts.
• Comfortable facilitating both working-level and leadership meetings.
• Ability to clearly and concisely present portfolio health, risks, and recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of identifying, evaluating, and resolving complex issues in dynamic environments.
• Proficient in managing competing priorities and successfully driving work to completion across multiple teams and initiatives.
• Competent in building collaborative relationships and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Must be available to work within Eastern Standard Time Zone hours to support the East Coast region.
