This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serves as the scrum master for the team, managing one or more scrum teams consisting of Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Systems Architects, Application Developers, Automation Testers, DevOps Engineers, and Data Analysts.

• Develop integrated roadmaps and project schedules for current and future priorities.

• Conduct systems development lifecycle activities, which include analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation of products, information systems, and business processes across various technical environments.

• Adhere to best practices while developing and refining procedures that align with task requirements, utilizing analytical thinking and communication techniques to swiftly assimilate diverse information and determine its relevance.

• Assist in requirements gathering and prioritization activities, including elicitation, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of products, information systems, and business processes within a data environment.

• Collaborate closely with seasoned analysts or project leaders to seek guidance and additional instructions.

• Engage in strategic planning and assess technical solutions for recommendation.

• Analyze challenges related to workflows, organization, and technology, assisting the team in formulating suitable corrective actions.

• Act as the Subject-Matter Expert (SME) on business requirements, scrum processes, user needs, and value.

• Serve as the authority on the expected behavior of the system, determining whether a bug report constitutes a defect or expected behavior.

• Demonstrate expertise in crafting high-quality epics, user stories, tasks, spikes, bugs, and acceptance criteria in JIRA and other scrum artifacts.

• Support the Product Owner (PO) in formulating effective user stories, collaborating with the team as needed.

• Review, write, and edit user stories and acceptance criteria in the absence of the PO.

• Take ownership of the "Definition of Done," collaborating with the team in this process.

• Partner closely with developers and test engineers to reach consensus on acceptance criteria for all user stories.

• Manage the prioritization of stories (the PO establishes priorities; the BA ensures the accuracy of the list).

• Ensure the team adheres to deadlines set by the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

• Serve as a quality gatekeeper.

• Verify that requirements are sufficiently clear for testing and that edge cases are addressed.

• Lead by example, ensuring that stories satisfy the Acceptance Criteria, are well-executed, and meet the "Definition of Done."

• Facilitate all agile scrum ceremonies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Must have the capability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.

• Must be willing to work during Eastern Standard Time business hours to fulfill customer requirements.

• Must currently reside within the Continental United States.

• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

• Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and initiate work independently.

• Must be adaptable and flexible as priorities shift.

• Must exhibit enthusiasm and a passion for learning and continuous improvement.

• Must be open to collaboration, feedback, and client requests.

• Must enjoy working within a dynamic team of outgoing individuals.

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and have 5 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master.

• Must have significant experience in Agile Frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Basic understanding of public cloud environments is required.

• Highly proficient in creating status reports, including but not limited to Sprint Status, Release Status, burndown and burnup charts, sprint dashboards, roadmaps, risks, mitigation, and issues.

• Ability to manage multiple teams effectively.

• Collaborate daily with the team to ensure timely task delivery.

• Must be able to provide reports on team assignments at any time using JIRA.

• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders as needed.

• Proficient in collaborating with the team to develop reasonable and accurate time estimates for assigned tasks.

• Excellent communication skills to directly interact with non-technical client stakeholders and serve in a business-to-technical translation capacity, including the creation of effective visualizations.
