Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, which include Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and backlog refinement.

• Assist the team in adhering to PM² agile principles and staying aligned with agile methodologies.

• Eliminate obstacles hindering the development team’s sprint progress.

• Aid the Product Owner in managing the backlog, prioritizing tasks, and creating clear user stories.

• Document the agile practices followed by the team.

• Track sprint progress utilizing Jira boards, burndown charts, and sprint reports.

• Mentor the team and the organization on agile methodologies, Scrum roles, and continuous improvement.

• Integrate with the Development team and collaborate closely with a key client's IT team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in IT along with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the IT sector.

• In-depth knowledge of an agile framework, encompassing roles, events, artifacts, sprint cycles, and Scrum principles.

• Strong understanding of scaled agile concepts.

• Capability to support iterative delivery, maintain flexibility, ensure transparency, and foster continuous improvement.

• Proficient in leading Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective meetings effectively.

• Ability to guide the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders without direct management.

• Extensive knowledge of Jira with practical experience in managing boards, sprint reports, backlogs, and burndown charts.

• Familiarity with software development processes and sufficient technical insight to comprehend team challenges and delivery workflows.

• Ability to coordinate with Product Owners, managers, business users, and external vendors.

• One mandatory certification: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II/III), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A CSM), Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM), EXIN Agile Scrum Master, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI ACP), or Scrum Master Accredited Certification from the International Scrum Institute.
