Scraping Team Lead – Web scraping, Anti-bot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the web scraping development team and act as a technical authority.

• Guide architectural choices and influence the future direction of the scraping framework.

• Engage in team expansion by recruiting backend, browser, DevOps, and QA engineers.

• Set up development and release workflows.

• Maintain code quality standards and provide oversight on technical decisions.

• Perform research on anti-bot measures and evasion techniques.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in high-load backend/data platforms.

• Significant experience in scraping (essential).

• Profound knowledge of HTTP, TLS, HTTP/2, proxies, and browser technologies (CDP, WebRTC).

• Familiarity with asynchronous Python and Go (preferably both), Redis, queues, and message brokers.

• Experience in analyzing and overcoming bot protection systems — a strong advantage.

• Proficiency in English (all documentation and team interactions are conducted in English).

• Strong decision-making capabilities, mentoring skills, and accountability for outcomes.
