Scientific Services Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Drive dietary recommendations through expert training, education, partnerships, and continuous support.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders at Royal Canin on activities and initiatives within the Therapeutic Business Unit.

• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders and veterinary professionals to enhance Royal Canin's reputation.

• Boost brand recommendations and broaden the influence pathways.

• Increase Royal Canin's market share in veterinary hospitals.

• Partner with field sales teams to inform key recommenders and propel recommendations, market share, and sales growth.

• Develop relationships with specialty referral hospitals to enhance sales in the nutrition category.

• Strengthen strategic accounts through regional medical leadership relationships and impactful events.

• Establish and maintain a network of KOL Royal Canin advocates and potential speakers.

• Provide nutrition education from Royal Canin to veterinarians, technicians, and hospital staff.

• Contribute to the growth of veterinary business through collaboration and joint business planning.

• Act as a trusted technical resource.

• Represent Royal Canin at veterinary conferences and events.

• Offer nutritional case consultations.

• Adjust territory and regional coverage requirements as necessary.

• Support field-based teams via local and air travel.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Expect to travel 3–4 days each week, with one day designated for remote home-office work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or VMD) with an active license in at least one state.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinary practitioner, including internships, co-ops, and/or residency.

• Preference for experience in small or companion animal practice.

• Outstanding scientific communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively—up to 75% within the assigned territory.

• Eligibility for a company vehicle.

• Flexibility to travel during evenings and weekends.

• Ability to independently manage travel arrangements.

• Must be willing and capable of traveling to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the position.

• Ability to travel 50–75%, including nights and weekends.

• Must be effective when working from home when not traveling.
