This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a Scientific Business Systems Analyst within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) product team.
• Function as a bridge between global Research Informatics functional areas and international research scientists, focusing on their requirements and expectations.
• Oversee a collection of custom internal platforms, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, and system integrations.
• Direct the technology ecosystem for in vivo study data management, ensuring the platform fulfills their needs for data analysis and integrity.
• Convert intricate scientific and technological requirements into clear, actionable directives for development teams.
• Create and sustain a product roadmap that distinctly outlines upcoming features, enhancements, timelines, and milestones.
• Recognize and manage risks related to the systems, encompassing technological risks, scientific validation, and user acceptance.
• Produce documentation, communication strategies, and training materials for end users.
• Ensure that scientific data operations are incorporated into the development of Research-wide Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabilities.
• Guarantee operational excellence, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Collaborate with teams across various geographical locations, including the US and other international sites.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2 - 4 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or a related field, OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 - 8 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or a related field, OR Diploma with 8 - 10 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing and supporting LIMS platforms.
• Proven expertise in a scientific domain and associated technology requirements.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong desire to address complex challenges in drug discovery using technology and data.
• Experience in capturing and analyzing data from instruments in a research laboratory.
• Familiarity with bioanalytical workflows and/or biospecimen management.
• Experience in implementing scientific software platforms, ELNs, or LIMS.
• Proficient in the configuration and administration of LIMS platforms such as LabVantage, STARLIMS, Watson LIMS, etc.
• Experience in managing GxP data and system validation, along with knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting laboratory data (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GLP, GCP).
• Familiarity with cloud (e.g., AWS) and SaaS infrastructure.
• Background in AI and machine learning applications for drug discovery research and preclinical development.
• Experience managing product features for PI planning and developing product roadmaps and user journeys.
• Proficient in writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile project management systems such as JIRA.
• Knowledge of business analysis best practices, DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of Agile processes and principles for coordinated solutions and teams via SAFe (SAFe for Teams certification is a plus).
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
