School Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a key member of a national sales team, you will be responsible for managing your territory, overseeing the entire sales process, and developing new business relationships to introduce Newsela’s solutions to classrooms.

• Meet revenue goals while working alongside a passionate, cross-functional team to propel Newsela’s growth as we expand our national sales organization.

• Play a pivotal role in the growth and adoption of Newsela products, which will ultimately enhance our capacity to deliver engaging, culturally relevant learning content to K-12 classrooms across the nation.

• Remain informed and knowledgeable about the funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape in your territory to effectively shape the overall sales strategy.

• Your daily responsibilities will include pipeline management, forecasting, and overseeing sales throughout the entire lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience achieving or surpassing sales quotas for SaaS products; experience in K-12 EdTech is highly preferred.

• A background in education (e.g., former teacher) or a strong understanding of pedagogy, along with the ability to connect classroom challenges to the solutions offered by Newsela, is a plus.

• Proven ability to navigate multiple stakeholders effectively to tailor the right solutions for each customer.

• A high-volume, transactional sales approach, with a track record of developing a robust book of business.

• A self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and can efficiently drive sales to closure.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
