This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Assist with system integration tasks, which include mapping and transforming data between SAP TM and other enterprise systems.
• Take ownership of SAP TM system configuration, all-encompassing transportation processes, and associated procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve SAP TM system issues by identifying root causes and applying corrective measures.
• Maintain documentation for SAP TM configurations, selection and planning profiles, batch jobs, ensuring it is current and well-organized.
• Guarantee that SAP TM environments across ECC and S/4HANA remain synchronized and consistent over time.
• Conduct integrated quality assurance testing for transportation planning and management scenarios.
• Ensure that test scripts are comprehensive and sufficient to encompass all transportation scenarios for successful end-to-end testing prior to production deployment.
• Play an active role in low-level design, testing, and implementation stages of projects, working closely with the business transportation team.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for new developments and system enhancements.
• Examine transportation-related data and create logical business application solutions in partnership with IT and user teams.
• Evaluate SAP TM system customizations and substitute them with standard solutions wherever possible.
• Adhere to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and governance standards.
• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in supply chain, computer science, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience post-baccalaureate within the SAP TM field in a techno-functional capacity.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP Transportation Management (TM) modules.
• Proven history of successfully completing at least two full-cycle SAP TM end-to-end implementations.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation management processes, encompassing Freight Order Management, Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, Freight Execution, and Freight Settlement.
• Strong proficiency in SAP TM configuration, with the capability to debug code, apply fixes, and execute enhancements.
• Solid understanding of integration with other SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Extensive knowledge of SAP TM Version 9.6 along with familiarity with newer S/4HANA TM features.
• Expertise in OData services and the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP).
• Strong architectural insight across various SAP modules and integration points.
• Familiarity with the Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) and Application Interface Framework (AIF) is highly desirable.
• Experience in SAP Fiori applications and UI5 development for TM-related processes.
• Understanding of SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI for TM integration scenarios.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of TM processes and associated custom developments.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including mentoring junior consultants and coordinating project tasks.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functional and technical teams in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, with experience in delivering projects within both frameworks.
