SAP MDG Finance Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements and conducting business process workshops related to financial master data governance.

• Document business rules, outline functional requirements, and create financial master data models in collaboration with government stakeholders and business partners.

• Configure SAP MDG Finance, which includes data modeling, UI FPM modeling, and process modeling.

• Set up change request workflows, validation rules, and derivation rules utilizing BRF+.

• Assist in the governance of General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Company Codes, and other financial master data elements.

• Configure the Data Replication Framework and aid in synchronization using SOA Services, Web Services, and IDocs.

• Work collaboratively with Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Supply Chain, and technical teams within integrated SAP environments.

• Create functional design, configuration, and business process documentation.

• Conduct unit and integration testing while also supporting User Acceptance Testing.

• Resolve production issues and assist with system enhancements.

• Engage in process mapping and change management initiatives.

• Occasionally travel to client locations for on-site assistance.

• Participate in quality assurance efforts and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with security policies.

• Execute other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent SAP Master Data Governance or SAP Finance experience; 5–7 years of experience is acceptable without a Bachelor's degree.

• Proficient in configuring SAP MDG Finance, covering data modeling, workflow configuration, UI FPM modeling, BRF+, and DRF.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) master data as it pertains to SAP S/4HANA.

• Familiarity with General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, and Company Codes.

• Experience in gathering business requirements, leading workshops, producing functional design documentation, and facilitating solution delivery.

• Experienced in supporting multi-system SAP landscapes and initiatives for enterprise financial master data governance.

• Capable of managing moderately complex SAP MDG Finance issues with minimal supervision.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance is required.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for the security clearance.

• Preferred candidates will have an active Secret security clearance.

• Preferred experience includes SAP S/4HANA implementations, federal ERP modernization programs, or DoD SAP environments.

• Familiarity with SAP FI, CO, MM, Procurement, and cross-functional integrations is preferred.

• Experience with SOA Services, Web Services, IDocs, and enterprise integration technologies is favored.

• Preferred qualifications include relevant SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA Finance, or SAP FI/CO certifications.
