SAP MDG Finance Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sessions for gathering requirements and conducting business process workshops focused on financial master data governance.

• Partner with governmental stakeholders and business associates to identify business rules, document functional requirements, and create financial master data models.

• Configure SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Finance, including data modeling, UI FPM modeling, and process modeling.

• Set up change request workflows, validation rules, and derivation rules utilizing BRF+.

• Provide governance support for General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Company Codes, and various other financial master data elements.

• Configure the Data Replication Framework and assist with synchronization through SOA Services, Web Services, and IDocs.

• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Supply Chain, and technical teams within integrated SAP environments.

• Create documentation for functional, configuration, and business processes.

• Conduct unit and integration testing and assist with User Acceptance Testing.

• Resolve production issues and aid in system enhancements.

• Engage in process mapping and change management initiatives.

• Occasionally travel to client locations for on-site support.

• Participate in quality assurance efforts and safeguard sensitive information in line with security policies.

• Undertake additional related responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years of relevant SAP Master Data Governance or SAP Finance experience, or 5–7 years without a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proven experience in configuring SAP MDG Finance, encompassing data modeling, workflow configuration, UI FPM modeling, BRF+, and DRF.

• In-depth understanding of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) master data within SAP S/4HANA.

• Familiarity with General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, and Company Codes.

• Experience in gathering business requirements, leading workshops, developing functional design documentation, and aiding in solution delivery.

• Background in supporting multi-system SAP landscapes and enterprise financial master data governance projects.

• Capable of exercising judgment within established practices and managing moderately complex issues with minimal supervision.

• Must have the ability to acquire and maintain an active Secret security clearance.

• U.S. citizenship is required for the Secret security clearance.

• Preferred experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, federal ERP modernization initiatives, or DoD SAP environments.

• Familiarity with SAP FI, CO, MM, Procurement, and cross-functional integrations is preferred.

• Preferred experience with SOA Services, Web Services, IDocs, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Relevant certifications in SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA Finance, or SAP FI/CO are preferred.
