SAP IS-U Device Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive functional support for SAP IS-U FICA and/or Device Management, encompassing configuration, enhancements, and ongoing production support.

• Set up and assist FICA processes such as account determination, dunning, payment processing, clarification processing, interest calculation, returns, reversals, and payment runs.

• Oversee FICA master data and financial objects, which include contract accounts, business partners, and FICA documents.

• Facilitate payments, payment lots, bank statement processing, invoicing, budget billing, and account maintenance.

• Aid in FICA integration with IS-U Billing, Device Management, FI/CO, and FI-GL.

• Supervise Device Management processes, including device installation, removal, replacement, technical master data, device categories, and installation structures.

• Configure and assist with meter reading units, meter reading orders, scheduling, upload/download, validation, estimation, and plausibility processing.

• Support register-based, interval, and AMI/smart meter data processing, including MDUS/MDM integrations when applicable.

• Facilitate integration between Device Management, Billing, Rate Determination, and FICA.

• Investigate and resolve production incidents while conducting root-cause analysis.

• Draft functional specifications for custom developments, such as BAPIs, user exits, and enhancements, and collaborate with ABAP teams.

• Assist with mass activities, background jobs, performance tuning, patches, upgrades, and system enhancements.

• Engage in unit testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.

• Support regulatory, statutory, billing, metering, and reporting requirements for energy and utility operations.

• Collaborate with Billing, MDM, FI, Device Management, technical teams, and business teams.

• Preserve functional documentation, configuration records, process guides, and knowledge repositories.

• Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to junior consultants and team members.

• Coordinate with onshore stakeholders to ensure compliance with SLAs, ITIL standards, and offshore delivery processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of overall SAP experience.

• Approximately 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U FICA and/or Device Management.

• Strong functional expertise in either SAP IS-U FICA or SAP IS-U DM/EDM.

• Previous experience in power generation, power distribution, energy, metering, or utilities is highly preferable.

• Solid knowledge of relevant FICA or Device Management processes.

• Good understanding of IS-U Billing, Rate Determination, Device Management, FICA, and meter-to-cash processes.

• Experience with AMI, smart metering, interval data, MDUS, or MDM systems is an asset.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow or SAP Solution Manager.

• Strong grasp of background jobs, mass processing, performance optimization, and production support.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

• Proficient communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong documentation, presentation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration abilities.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

• Solid understanding of ITIL-based support processes, SLAs, and enterprise application operations.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
